I have been coloring my hair for as long as I can remember. I think the first time was at 14....so about 20 years of covering up my natural color. At this point, I am not even sure what my natural color is! I'm in the process of trying to find it. Step one was going back to a lighter brown rather than blonde. I wanted it darker than it is but my hairdresser didn't want me to go into shock so she is going to do it gradually. I love being a blonde but the upkeep is so expensive. I'd love to have no maintenance outside of an occasional cut. Here is my new doo. I am looking rough today so you get no face. Hair only.

When the economy is back to booming, maybe the blonde will come back too. Speaking of change, and brown for that matter, here is a picture of our front living room. The carpet is so soft and fluffy that I get the urge to run in there and roll around on it. I can't help it. Oh, and stealing Kevin's basement furniture made a huge difference also. Sorry babe.

Yesterday was Talan's 6-month well check. He is 15.7 pounds (up exactly 2 pounds from his 4-month) and 25.25 inches (up an inch from his 4-month). I was shocked to learn that he is in the 13th percentile for weight and 40th for length. I thought for sure he was further up there than that. He's definitely slowed down a bit where his weight gain is concerned. Bizarre being that I feel like he's eating us out of house and home. He sometimes goes through 3 jars of food in a day. That's in addition to nursing every 3 hours.
Poor little guy had to get two shots. He took them like a champ, only crying for a couple of minutes, but today was a little rough on him. His legs were swollen and red where the nurse stuck him.

He was also running a fever most of today. He looked miserable so I spent most of the day cuddling him and spoiling him rotten. The cold washcloth seemed to give him a little bit of relief.

He is closer every day to sitting up unassisted and is trying really hard to get up onto all fours. He pulls his legs up underneath him and scoots but he hasn't learned to come up on his arms. I'll be happy if he waits another couple of months before figuring that one out. I need the time to baby proof.

If you are the praying type, please send one up for my Mom. She has an appointment in Tennessee with a new neurologist tomorrow. We love you Mom!!!!
I *knew* he was a tiny little peanut! He is precious!!!
