Blame It On The Train

Another weekend bites the dust. It flew! On Saturday Reese had a birthday party to go to and then that evening Kevin & I had a party to go to (thank you again for babysitting Aunt Heather!). I felt like my head had just hit the pillow when it was time to get up again and rush off. This morning we caught an 8:30am train into the city to meet friends from high school for breakfast. Talan seemed to enjoy his first ride. Both kids were really well behaved (woot!).

Kristin, Julie & I had a great time catching up. When we finished eating we had to catch a 12:30 train back to the 'burbs. We don't go into the city often but when we do I am reminded of how much I love it. I really love living here!

This is the last full week of summer vacation for Reese. She'll be in school for the next 17 years between elementary, middle, high school, and college. I still remember bits and pieces of my Kindergarten year. I am so excited for her (and nervous, anxious, scared, happy & sad all at once). The adventure really begins on Thursday when we learn who her teacher is. We can't wait! Thanks for reading.
